Greetings, I am Krsnadaasa, a devoted servant of Shri Krishna. I am also known by my birth name of Vinayak Raghuvamshi. It is my privilege to extend a warm welcome to you on this enlightening journey through the esteemed teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.

With over two decades dedicated to the meticulous study, analysis, and practical application of the principles encapsulated within the Bhagavad Gita, I am neither a Swami nor a Saint, but a pragmatically-minded devotee who has devoted much of his life to understanding and sharing these spiritual teachings.

In 2017, I had the honor of publishing a book centered on the practical components derived from the Bhagavad Gita followed by another book “Pragmatic Bhakti Sutra” in June 2023. The positive reception and subsequent requests for deeper insights into the practical facets of the Gita, Bhakti Sutra and other topics focused on Sanatana Dharma, inspired me to continue my teaching endeavors.

Committed to providing accessible and inclusive spiritual guidance, I conduct complimentary Bhagavad Gita classes, along with Bhakti Sutra and other Vedanta topics, to a diverse group of students from around the globe and from various professional backgrounds. These teachings have been recorded for the convenience of those unable to attend live sessions. These recordings have been appreciated for their ability to provide an engaging and enlightening experience that can be revisited at one’s own pace.

Blessed to be born into a family that cherished books, my upbringing was surrounded by a wealth of knowledge encompassing philosophy, spirituality, literature, and science. Amongst the myriad of concepts, the idea of God proved to be the most complex to grasp, leading me on a lifelong quest to understand divinity.

With a series of profound questions propelling my search, I found inspiration in the wisdom shared by Albert Einstein, “We cannot solve our problems with the same level of consciousness that created them.” This spurred a journey towards attaining a higher consciousness, driven by humility, devotion, and surrender to God.

I invested years into understanding the concept of surrendering to God, through meditative practices, and immersing myself in various spiritual texts from both Eastern and Western cultures. I also found great insight in the works of philosophical stalwarts like Plato and Socrates, and the spiritual teachings of Swami Vivekananda. His works on “Bhakti Yoga” and “Karma Yoga” resonated deeply, inspiring me to follow the path they illuminated.

My spiritual exploration culminated in the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita. I delved into translations and commentaries by esteemed gurus such as Swami Vivekananda, Lokmanya Tilak, Swami Ranganathananda, Swami Mukundananda, Swami Yogananda, Swami Prabhupada, and Georg Feuerstein. Despite their profound insights, I understood the necessity of guidance, simplification, and practical analogies for a broader comprehension.

With my professional background in computer science, I apply analytical and structured thinking to address complex spiritual concepts, aided by my experience as a computer science teacher. My aim is to distill the wisdom of these revered gurus and teachers into an accessible format that retains the authenticity and depth of the original teachings.

With no expectations of personal accolades or financial reward, I consider this endeavor a service to God and a means to disseminate His teachings for the benefit of humanity. I hope that my podcasts, lectures, and classes assist in fulfilling this higher purpose. It is my humble prayer that your life is positively transformed through the knowledge and guidance these teachings provide.
